For past employment
verification, we are dependent on HR Managers/Personnel
Managers/Administrative Officers/HR Executives and so on. More
and more employers are in the process of computerization of
Rolls but for records older than a year or two most employers
are dependent on records in paper form. If the former employer
is a Government owned organization, it takes longer to get
approvals for release of information. There are many employers
having their Head Office at New Delhi or Mumbai but factory at a
remote village in Tamilnadu or Karnataka. It is important to
have the correct location rather address of the former employer.
It is also important to have the correct & exact position held
with a particular employer. We have found that quite a few
applicants change their position on application as per US terms.
It may be noted that most of IT companies prefers not to
disclose the salary structures. It is also not uncommon to found
that a number of IT firms went out of business.
